Following its success this year with Reduta II shopping centre car park project, Fläkt Woods has won two new car park ventilation orders in Poland.
The first is for the Wroclaw University Library car park with a total order value of £110k including 18 JM car park jet fans and 2 JM fans for the main supply and extract. The JM car park jet fan system was demonstrated to offer a saving of around 50% over a traditional ducted system together with simpler installation. CFD analysis was used in the design and to optimise the installation, providing better smoke extraction in a fire situation.
The new library building which is under construction will house all the collections and administration offices. Internal design of the main hall calls for a flexibility of ventilation in its arrangements and settings.
The other project is Park Piaskowa 4, which is a residential building with parking on two levels. 22 JM car park jet fans will be installed in addition to high temperature smoke extract JM Aerofoil fans.
Sales engineer Wlodzimierz Lacki says that the developer chose the JM car park jet fan system not simply because of lower prices but for space saving and aesthetic reasons.
