Fläkt Woods makes it large for world’s largest board mill
   

Fläkt Woods has recently shipped one of its biggest fan orders, in terms of dimensions, under a contract to supply 50 mighty GT fans to China, worth approximately €450,000.

Most of the fans are the largest type, GTBB-5-140, which were shipped to Asian Pulp & Paper’s new Ningbo board mill, the largest board mill in the world, located near Shanghai. Asian Pulp & Paper is a subsidiary of the Finnish UPM Kymmene Group.

The fans were packed into containers and despatched from Turku. The large size fans GTBB-5-140 do not fit into a container so they had to be delivered partly unassembled. The fans were then assembled on site and a Fläkt Woods assembly specialist went to Ningbo to assist with mounting of the fans.

The greenfield board making line delivered by Metso Paper comprises a complete stock preparation system with eight lines for virgin and recycled fiber, a complete board machine with on-machine coating, air systems and mill engineering.
