Civil Justice Centre in Manchester
Fläkt Woods is to supply air handling units for the prestigious new £160m Civil Justice Centre in Manchester, UK.
Scheduled for completion early 2007, the 15 storey Manchester Civil Justice Centre is the largest court complex to be built in Britain since the historic Courts of Justice in London. Providing accommodation of around 34,000 m2, the building will house a total of 47 courtrooms for Technical, Family, County, Civil and High Court proceedings.

Fläkt Woods is to provide expertise and equipment. The products will all come from the company’s EU range of AHU’s which will feed the courts and waiting areas. In total 20 large EU models have been ordered and these are capable of airflow rates of up to 15 m3/s, and include thermal wheels, cooling and heating coils.
Fläkt Woods had to include high efficiency, low speed fans and high density panel insulation to meet the stringent noise levels required in the Court Areas.
In addition to the courtrooms, there will be 4 tribunal courts, 75 consultation rooms, and office and support space. The 15 storey Manchester Civil Justice Centre.
