Fläkt Woods provides ATEX expertise for a new pharma plant in Holland with an order value of more than 310.000 EUR.
Hans Godden from Fläkt Woods Belgium led the new Centocor production site in Leiden, Netherlands on behalf of Fläkt Woods.

Centocor - part of the international Johnson & Johnson Group – is building on their leadership position in monoclonal antibody technology. Centocor creates, acquires and markets unique biopharmaceutical therapies. Their innovative products focus on the management of three major disease areas; cardiovascular, immunologic disorders and cancer.

Construction started in April 2003 and should be finished in 2005. When at full capacity, 1250 people will work at the plant.

Over 100 re-heat coils from our production unit Fläkt Elve at Opwijk, Belgium.
The fans are responsible for the extraction of acid / chemical dust air. The need for ATEX or project adapted fans is depending on the risk assessment analysis done by the end user and assisted by Fläkt Woods’ experience in this field.
Recently all partners involved visited the Meyzieu operation and checked the ready manufactured fans. The meeting included a visit of the Meyzieu production and some presentations related to Fläkt Woods Pharma & Industrial solutions and strategies. |
