The Fläkt Woods Gothenburg office in Sweden succeeded with a 590.000 EUR job for AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals. Their R&D Center in Mölndal, Sweden will be equipped with hygienic EU 2000 air handlers with heat & cooling recovery Ecoterm and the patented HEPA filter sections.
The success story is founded on 1.5 years intensive support to the consultant through all design phases like feasibility study, master plan, basic design phase and execution engineering.
Furthermore a longterm relation to the HVAC-engineering departement of AstraZeneca and a number of references on different AstraZeneca sites abeted the decision.
AstraZeneca in Mölndal is one of the biggest research units of this international high reputated pharmaceutical company. Some 2.500 people work there with the research and development of medicines within cardiovascular and gastrointestinal areas. AstraZeneca is a global key customer of Fläkt Woods and the internal guidelines for AHU´s are almost aligned with the performance of Fläkt Woods air handling equipment.
Products to be supplied are hygienic EU 2000 air handlers with heat & cooling recovery Ecoterm and the patented HEPA filter sections. The application is for the most sensitive area within a pharma research plant: animal building. This means all equipment will be installed double for redundancy reasons.
