Fläkt Woods has won one of its largest ever OEM contract, having secured a two part order for approximately 3,000 fans, with a value of over £2 million.
Put in perspective, this single order from COVRAD of Coventry in the UK represents regular activity at the Colchester manufacturing facility for the whole of 2006.
The fans will be used for cooling mobile generators, all housed in containers, which will be powerful enough to provide electricity supplies to areas that need uninterrupted power. Output is 1999 brake Kw (per engine) with 3 fans per container.
The radiators currently being constructed by COVRAD in Coventry, will be shipped over the course of 2006 and because they are fitted into containers, are extremely flexible and user friendly.

All of the fans are from Fläkt Woods’ renowned JM Aerofoil range and are 1250 mm in diameter. The fans are being used for ventilating and to cool the units giant cooling panels.
Fläkt Woods has partnered COVRAD on a number of prestigious contracts over recent years, providing the air handling solutions to help make their projects become a reality. The most recent contract was for mobile generator sets used to provide instant power in Iraq.
