Fläkt Solyvent Ventec has won contracts to supply ventilation fans for three cement plants in Saudi Arabia.

One contract includes providing all of the process fans for the new 5000 TPD cement plant currently being constructed by Sinoma International at Muzamiyah, 80 kilometres from the capital Riyadh.
When the $294 million project for the Riyadh Cement Company comes on stream, it will have a production capacity of over two million tons of clinker annually.
Fläkt Solyvent Ventec is the leader for the design and manufacture of heavy duty fans for the cement industry, and under another contract the Company is supplying all of the 22 main process fans and the 28 cooling fans being used to ventilate the 2 x 10000 TPD kilns in the new SCC project in Hofuf.

Demand for cement is high in Saudi Arabia, with the government spending heavily on new infrastructure projects including roads, schools and other buildings. Saudi Arabia produces 22 million tonnes of cement out of the 25 million needed to cater for the rising needs of the construction industry.
This SCC agreement follows closely on the heels of a third contract to provide a range of process fans to the Southern Province Cement Company for another project for being constructed by Sinoma International.
Among the process fans that have been designed and supplied for this contract, are two huge raw mill fans of more than 4000kW, as well as all other main process fans from the Company’s Technopal range of tailor made heavy duty fans, constructed at their French centre of excellence at Chalon. The cooling fans are designed and manufactured at Meyzieu in France.
