Fläkt Woods has won the Swedish "Stora Inneklimatspriset 2005" award for indoor air improvement with CentriflowPlus - the most efficient plug fan in the world.
CentriflowPlus is used in Fläkt Woods' air handling unit series EU, EC and STING. Its outstanding performance in efficiency - up to 77% - means an extremely economical electricity comsumption and ultra low life cycle costs.
The swedish air climate award dates back from 2001 and it is destined to accentuate the importance of indoor air quality and increase the public interest towards air climate technology. The award is given to an organisation that has developed an important air climate product or service for commercial use.
Four products were nominated for the 2005 award, and Fläkt Woods' CentriflowPlus beat the other candidates thanks to its innovative and energy efficient solution. The swedish Minister for Sustainable Development Mona Sahlin presented the award to Robert Johansson from Fläkt Woods AB on 26th January at Nordbygg trade fair in Stockholm, Sweden.
