Fläkt Woods has supplied EU air handling units with inbuilt EC condensers for Lorne Stewart working on contracts at Kent schools. The units have saved space and money for the contractor while exactly meeting the client needs.

An inbuilt condenser means there is no pipework or labour needed, as would be the case with traditional separate condenser system. The compact units have high energy efficiency levels with a 4.15 COP and a wide range of cooling outputs, guaranteeing optimised cooling capacity. They have a cooling output of up to 160kW with airflows ranging from 0.7 to 8m3/s.

The contract has involved several schools therefore coordination was critical on deliveries. Tight construction programmes were also a major consideration in the engineering design. All building work had to take place within closed term times, so Fläkt Woods has worked closely with the architect and contractor/client to minimise complexity.
