From July 1, 2003 the EU ATEX 100a directive requires all non-electrical equipment for use in potentially explosive environments to be ATEX compliant. It also requires that all existing installations have to be upgraded by June 2006 to satisfy the directive.
Fläkt Woods has specifically designed a complete range of fans suitable for potentially explosive environments in line with ATEX, which are suitable for use in a large number of environments such as petro-chemical plants, flourmills and grain silos where a potentially explosive atmosphere may be present.
