Biography 

Didier joined Fläkt Woods from General Electric (GE) Energy Products - Europe where he held the position as President and General Managing Director between 1999 and 2002. GE Energy Products - Europe is a GE Power Systems business, located in France and Germany, employing 2,400 people and with a sales turnover of 1.5 billion Euros. He was also elected a Vice President and Corporate Officer of GE in June 2000. Didier took up this position with GE following GE’s acquisition of Alstom Gas Turbines, where he had been Managing Director since 1997. He joined Alstom Gas Turbines in 1993 and occupied the positions of P&L Director in France, then Project Director in England before becoming Managing Director of Alstom Gas Turbines in 1997.

From 1990 to 1993, Didier held the position of Industrial Director for
Alstom Distribution Transformers with facilities in France, UK and Indonesia.

From 1986 to 1990, he spent three years at a Service subsidiary of
Alstom as Business Unit Manager in Algeria, then as Regional Manager in France.

Didier began his career at Matra Espace in 1983 (France), first as Project Controller then as Project Manager from 1984 to 1986 (Space systems).

Didier is a French national. He is married and has two children, and lives in Switzerland.
