Fläkt Woods divests stake in Nippon-Fläkt

Fläkt Woods has divested its stake in Nippon-Fläkt, our joint-venture Japanese operation headquartered in Tokyo, to Takasago Thermal Engineering Co Ltd, who were previously our partner and a minority shareholder in the joint-venture. The transaction was completed on Wednesday 1 October.

Nippon-Fläkt is an engineering-based solution company participating and performing consistently in the Japanese niche market segments in Gypsum board dryer, pneumatic refuse collection and central vacuum cleaning systems for the past 10 years.

Following the sale of its stake, the Fläkt Woods Asia business will focus on growing regional Asian countries and leveraging the broad air climate and air movement offering of the Group. Nippon-Fläkt, as part of the Takasago group, will continue to capitalize on their expertise in the contracting business, and will also operate a specific product supply agreement with Fläkt Woods, which will maintain our brand presence in Japan.
