NEW HORIZONS FOR EFFICIENCY
In air-conditioning systems, a chiller only works in rated conditions for a few hours a year as it almost exclusively works in the part load mode. For this reason, “seasonal efficiency” is the truly determining consumption factor. In the United States, as standardised by the ARI association in the IPLV (Integrated Part Load Value) index, a chiller is only considered to be at 100% capacity for 1% of annual working time. At partial capacity and with low external air temperatures, the Climaveneta chillers with centrifugal compressors achieve higher efficiency values than those of other compressors, thereby offering considerable energy saving. The same applies for water-cooled chillers.
