The chilled beam Flexicool® IQIC is an integrated system for ventilation, cooling and heating, fulfilling most needs for indoor climate. These supply air beams are designed to manage high cooling effects that, because of good mixing with room air, provide comfort and low air velocities in the occupied zone. The top side of IQIC is covered, and it is designed for ceiling mounting. Its dimensions are suited for a ceiling module sized 600 mm. The chilled beam is equipped with adjusting rails for the adjustment of air flow, cooling effect and flow pattern. The simple adjustment of flow pattern makes it possible to adapt to changing conditions in the room.

Fläkt Woods unique comfort control makes it easy to adjust the air flow. Using the patented control rails, the air flow is adjusted by varying the size of the hole lengths in the supply air channel. This can be done simply in conjunction with balancing. A regulating damper is not normally necessary.
The adjustable hole lengths permit different air diffusion (two-way, one-way and intermediate positions). The easy regulation of the air diffusion and capacity make it possible to adapt to future changed conditions. On delivery, the hole lengths are open to their maximum extent as the starting point for future balancing.

The FPC (Flow Pattern Control) function for the IQ chilled beams provides high flexibility. The combination of flow pattern control (FPC) and the patented comfort control gives the IQ beam unique characteristics.
FPC provides the possibility to adjust the air flow pattern at different angles, 0 – 15 – 30 – 45, through built-in vanes and adjustable rails. The different directions can be achieved in sections of 300 mm within the beam. The flow pattern can easily be adjusted and the beam.
IQ Beams with FPC function are optimized for minimal noise and pressure drop.

Function
The chilled beam IQIC is designed for ceiling mounting, and it is suited for ceiling modules of size 600 mm both in length and width, which means that it is flush with the ceiling surface. The air flow can be adjusted by means of the patented adjusting rails with which the length of the holes in the supply air duct is changed. This can easily be done with normal adjustments. A regulating damper is normally not required. The adjustable hole lengths allow different air distribution (two-way, one-way and middle positions).The simple adjustment of air distribution and capacity makes it possible to adapt to changing conditions in the future.
Before delivery, the hole lengths of standard beams are preset at the longest possible position to provide a starting position for later adjustment. Individual adjustment of hole lengths is available at the factory. In this case, all beams are marked and must be identified at delivery and assorted at the building site.
The beam can be supplied with a coil for heating water. The bottom plates can be pushed aside to allow easy cleaning and adjustment of air flow.
An enclosure with movable bottom plates is available as an accessory. This provides a simple way of accessing the connections and valves. The fitting piece is designed to be placed on the T-profiles of the ceiling. The purging nipple is included in the standard delivery.
Material
The casing is mainly made of galvanized steel sheet and aluminium profiles, and it is powder painted in white.
The standard colour NCS 0502-Y, gloss level 30, which corresponds to RAL 9010. Coil made of copper pipe with connection, Øout = 15 mm, and aluminium fins. Maximum working pressure 1.6 MPa.
