Chilled Beam Wega/Wega Power
The chilled beams iQ Star Wega and Wega Power are an integrated system for ventilation, cooling and heating, fulfilling most needs for indoor climate. These supply air beams are designed to manage high cooling effects that, which because of good mixing with room air, provide comfort and low air velocities in the occupied zone. Wega and Wega Power are equipped with the unique Energy Control system for the induction which is the most flexible induction system available in the market. Thanks to this patented system and the motorized version you will design a unique system with Demand Control Ventilation feature and significant energy savings.
The WEGA and Wega Power chilled beams are very flexible chilled beam that has a basic construction but can also be modified to fit with special requirements as dimensions or connections. The following functions are available for WEGA and Wega Power: heating coil, electric heating, Energy Control, Flow Pattern Control (FPC air deflector) and control and regulation equipment. WEGA and Wega Power have a covered upper side and are intended for flush-mounting in false ceilings.

Fläkt Woods unique comfort control makes it easy to adjust the air flow. Using the patented control rails, the air flow is adjusted by varying the size of the hole lengths in the supply air channel. This can be done simply in conjunction with balancing. A regulating damper is not normally necessary.
The adjustable hole lengths permit different air diffusion (two-way, one-way and intermediate positions). The easy regulation of the air diffusion and capacity make it possible to adapt to future changed conditions. On delivery, the hole lengths are open to their maximum extent as the starting point for future balancing.

The FPC (Flow Pattern Control) function for the IQ chilled beams provides high flexibility. The combination of flow pattern control (FPC) and the patented comfort control gives the IQ beam unique characteristics.
FPC provides the possibility to adjust the air flow pattern at different angles, 0 – 15 – 30 – 45, through built-in vanes and adjustable rails. The different directions can be achieved in sections of 300 mm within the beam. The flow pattern can easily be adjusted and the beam.
IQ Beams with FPC function are optimized for minimal noise and pressure drop.

Construction and function
Chilled beam WEGA is available in different designs. Length 135 cm is suitable for installation in Fine Line ceiling, which means that it is flush with the ceiling. The air is connected to the chilled beam long side. The lengths of 120 cm, 180 cm, 240 cm and 300 cm is also suitable for installation in the ceilings surface, the dimensions makes it possible to put the beam in the ceiling T-24 profile. The air is connected to the chilled beams gable end.
The length of 120cm, 180cm and 240cm are also available with a height of only 153mm, designed specifically for buildings with low ceilings. The length of 300 cm, is also available with 160mm air connection.
The WEGA chilled beam is a very flexible chilled beam that is available as a basic model, but can also be equipped with a number of functions to provide a multifunctional chilled beam. The following functions are available for WEGA: electric heating, Energy Control, Flow Pattern Control (FPC air deflector) and control and regulation equipment. The air flow is easily adjusted using the patented Energy Control function, which also allows different forms of air distribution (two-way, one-way and midway position). For even greater flexibility there is also a Motorized Energy Control (MEC) option for pressure dependent ventilation. In normal operation the beam is set to the chosen air flow setting. At times of heavy demand (increased supply air demand) the chilled beam is switched to boost mode by means of a pushbutton or CO2 sensor. If a presence detector or pushbutton is installed in the room the beam can also be programmed to switch to Energy Saving Mode
Material and surface finish
The casing is mainly made of galvanized steel sheet. The frontplate is powder painted in white.The standard colour RAL 9010, which corresponds to NCS 0502-Y, gloss level 30. Coil made of copper pipe with connection, ø 15 mm , and aluminium fins. Maximum working pressure 1,6 MPa .
