Overview
The iron ore pelletizing process consists of agglomerating, drying, preheating, hardening, and cooling the iron ore green pellets in the indurating machine (traveling grate furnace).
This process implies the intervention of various large process fans which evolve in hard conditions such as very high dust content or quick change in temperatures.
Around seven process fans are usually used in the iron ore pelletizing process:
- Cooling Air Fan
- Updraft Drying Fan
- Windbox Recuperation Fan
- Windbox Exhaust Gas Fan 1 et 2
- Hood Exhaust Gas Fan
- Plant Dedusting Fan
• Designed for high temperature (more than 400°C)
• Impeller fully protected (with welded and bolted wear liners) to minimize erosion
• High technology mechanical design involving both FEA and endurance tests
• Life Cycle Cost optimization
• High efficiency fans
• Using of special materials
