Flue Gas Desulphurization

Our solutions for Flue Gas Desulphurization are characterized by » Robustness » Reliability » Easy Maintenance » Short Planned Down Time

Overview

In several important industrial processes where exhaust gases are generated, an unwanted effect is production of sulfur dioxide. In order to preserve our environment and ensure future good living conditions, this sulfur dioxide has to be cleaned out from the gases before it is exhausted to the atmosphere. This is commonly referred to as Flue Gas Desulphurization (FGD). The main fields of applications for FGD’s are coal fired power plants and steel plants. In most cases, about 95% of the sulphur will be removed by a modern FGD system.

The introduction of FGD’s in the processes also introduces higher pressure drop in the system. Fans are used to overcome these pressure requirements
