Overview

All around the world pollution control regulation for combustion engines are becoming more stringent (TIER IV in the USA, Euro 6 in Europe etc…).

Reducing noxious emissions increases the need for cooling thus leading to more airflow required to cross the radiator.

This increase in performance has to be accomplished within the same overall dimensions so as to not impact the vehicle layout.

With noise regulations being strengthened as well, a significant reduction in the noise generated by the fan has to be provided as well.
